Sensory input

We do a lotttt with sensory input in the classroom. Sensory is built into each students day and is always something they have available to them when they need it. Things like heavy work, the trampoline, and jumping jacks are perfect for a quick movement break. We also have a few students who love weighted items like weighted vests, blankets, and backpacks. Sensory input is so important and making sure to plan it into your students day can be very helpful especially as a starting point to help teach them what works for them and what doesn’t. It’s also helpful in teaching them to recognize things in their body they help tell them they may need sensory input. Teaching student sensory skills young is a game changer as they get older.
What are some sensory input ideas you use in your classroom!?
