New educational puzzle for the classroom
I am so excited about this new puzzle I got on amazon (linked above) from Everyday Educate. I love when I find a good product that I can use for so many different skills. My love for small group lessons and generalization is hugeeee and when I find something that works for both makes my heart so happy.
This one item can be used to work on:
letter recognition
the alphabet
working on naming letters
work on speech letter sounds
matching skills
naming and identifying animals
work on winning and losing by playing memory with the pieces
work on colors
work on describing by having students talk about the different animals
conversation skills
turn taking
fine motor skills of putting the pieces together
hand and eye coordination
spelling
I'm sure there are even more ways to use this one puzzle that I haven't even thought of yet but that is a pretty great list of things you can work on using just this one thing. I love versatile products like this in the classroom because it allows me use one thing with a variety of students, allows me to have small group and not need a bunch of prep or items, allows for great generalization of skills, and this particular item can be used both as a teaching tool and for kids to use for fun and free time which is a win win in my book :)
